Instructor Biography
Gail Lotenberg is a certified STOTT Pilates instructor since 2013, sharing with students her deep knowledge about the body from over two decades as a professional dance artist. She has always been a keen observer of the body’s functional anatomy and has spent years investigating somatic practice through Pilates (since 2000), Yoga, Laban Developmental Patterning, Contemporary Dance, Ballet and amateur sports. As a Pilates instructor, Gail found an ideal platform for engaging with students at a profound level about their bodies and helping them to move with precision, efficiency and strength.
Ruth McIntosh is a certified STOTT Pilates instructor in the Mat and Reformer series. Informed by a professional career in the theatre industry as an actor and theatre educator, Ruth draws on an extensive practise in observation of our bodies’ stories. She first came into her own Pilates practise by way of healing and strengthening in a post-natal mat class; her practise grew deeper in dancetheatre and work with dancers and actors. Movement, yoga, dance, physical theatre and fitness, buoyed by her love of cycling and hiking, inform her love of movement. Ruth’s teaching facilitates new internal connections and insights for her clients to bring into their daily lives.
